Believe
Believe that Jesus is God’s Son and that He died and rose again from the dead for your sins (Romans 10:9, 10 – If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.)
Confess
In prayer, confess your need for God’s salvation in Christ. (1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. ).
A simple genuine prayer along this line is the means of God’s saving grace: "Lord Jesus, I recognize that I have sinned against you and am not worthy of heaven or eternal life. Please forgive me for all of my sin and come and live in my life by your Holy Spirit. Today, I am putting my life completely in your hands. Thank you for saving me. I want to follow you from this day on. In Jesus’ Name, Amen."

Trust
Trust that He (Jesus) is yours forever and that you now belong to Him. 1 John 5:11, 12. It says, And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life. And this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life, whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
