Why we give.
At HRAC, we believe that we should be generous with what God has given to us because of how generous God is toward us through daily blessings, especially through the gift of His Son. As Jesus said to His disciples, “Freely you have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8).
Those who call HRAC home are encouraged to be generous in their support of all that is involved in serving our community and the world with the Gospel. We believe tithing, or giving one-tenth of one’s income to the support of God’s work, is a timeless biblical principle for all who love God and follow Jesus. But we also believe that in the New Testament, Jesus’ followers are encouraged to go above and beyond toward the building of God’s kingdom (See 2 Corinthians 9:8-11).
