Membership
Our process for becoming members is a very simple one…
1. There are some prerequisites.
There is no age restriction to membership, but voting privileges arrive at the age of majority (18 in Alberta).
You must be able to answer “Yes” to all the items in the membership request (downloadable HERE or at the end of this web document).
2. There is some material for you to read. All required information is available at the bottom of this page, in paper copy through the church office, or in a downloadble booklet (click HERE).
We have put this booklet together specifically to help you understand who we are, what we are doing, and what becoming a part of us is all about.
We want you to know what we think being a member means and why it is important.
3. There is a membership request form for you to complete.
This is so that we have a written record of your intention to join with us in membership. We have tried to keep the process short and sweet.
4. There is an informal meeting with some of our Elders.
This is so that we can get to know you better on a personal level. We desire to be a relational church and our process for membership is a personal one. We would also like to be sure that you understand what being a member here is all about and answer any questions you might have.
5. There is a reception ceremony into the church.
We desire to formally receive you into our church as members on a Sunday morning, including prayer and the right hand of fellowship.
