Isn’t it amazing how many people have never actually met each other even though they have attended the same church for years? JUST DESSERTS is a super simple way to get to know people in our church that you otherwise might not bump into (like people who are in a different phase of life or maybe who simply sit
on a different side of the auditorium).
JUST DESSERTS participants get to meet in each other’s homes four times over the first four months of the new year (at 7:00pm – 9:00pm the last Saturday night of each month, January through April). Each month there is a new host and a completely new mix of people. The groups will be small enough to make sure that you get a chance to get to know everyone.
Once out of those four times (if you are able) it will be your turn to host. All you need to do is provide dessert, maybe some beverages (like tea or coffee), and your home to meet in. Dessert can be as simple or as fancy as you would like it to be. If you are unable to host, or cannot commit to every single “get-together”, let us know and we can work around it.
All you need to do to start the process is sign up by dropping off the registration card or sending us an email. The church office will look after the scheduling and send every JUST DESSERTS participant an email detailing where these “get-togethers” will be, everyone’s turn at hosting, as well as who is coming each event.
Everyone can do with a little more dessert, and you certainly deserve the fellowship of Christ’s body. Why not sign up and make sure you get your JUST DESSERTS.
Note: As this is an event for adults, please ensure that you arrange for childcare for your little ones. This will enable all of you to have the most enjoyable time that you can. Additionally, if you have any allergies or such, please let us know so that we can inform your host and serve you best.
