Vision and Core Values
At High River Alliance Church, our mission is to obey Jesus’ command to:
“…make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you…” (Mt. 28:19-20).
There are three consecutive commitments that we believe are necessary for every believer to move towards Christian maturity that we note by the three following one word slogans:
24/7 |
360˚ |

24/7 is anEVERYDAY CHRISTIANITYlived in constant relationship with Jesus, covering every facet of life. |
360° is a complete immersion in the family of Christ resulting in a new kind ofLIFE TOGETHER |
Beyond is a recalibration of life given over toSERVICE IN THE KINGDOM |
CORE VALUES
If the vision determines what we are doing, our core values help us navigate how we should go about these things. They are the backdrop to everything that we do as a church.
At High River Alliance Church, our core values are:
1. Dependence—(John 15.5; Philippians 1.9-11)—We believe every ministry and aspect of what it means to be Church belongs to Jesus Christ. It is only in complete dependence upon Him that that we can succeed at the tasks he asks of us.
2. Community—(all 59 “one another” commands of Scripture)—We believe every member should be in some form of a close personal relationship with a spiritually fulfilling community. Everything we are and have in Christ is shared, interpreted, and expressed in community.
3. Participation—(1 Corinthians 12.1-11; Ephesians 4.7-16)—Every member is given the ability to minister because all ministry belongs to Christ, and through Him it belongs to the church. We are all uniquely qualified and responsible to minister to one another and others as a result of the life of Christ present within us.
4. Home and Family-Centered—(Deuteronomy 6.1-9) We believe that the home is the most influential environment for spiritual growth and believe that the ministry of the church needs to be both supportive of and supplementary to the home.
5. Simplicity—We believe that if we can do something without making it complicated, we should.
6. Devotion—(Colossians 3.17, 23-24)—We believe that we must give ourselves fully to God in what He is asking us to do, faithfully applying the gifts, talents, and resources that He has entrusted to us, so that He is revealed to the world through us and His Kingdom is advanced.
